When you use StackMatch, we collect:

  • Account information — email address, name, and profile photo provided via Clerk authentication.
  • Usage data — search queries, saved leads, list names, and interaction with the platform.
  • Payment data — payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never store full credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to operate and improve StackMatch:

  • Process searches and return relevant business leads.
  • Manage your subscription and billing.
  • Send service-related communications (e.g., payment receipts).
  • Improve search accuracy and platform performance.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run the platform:

  • Clerk — authentication and user management.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
  • PostHog — product analytics and usage tracking.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days. Search result data may be retained in anonymized form.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. You can manage your account settings or contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Third-Party Services

StackMatch uses Brave Search API and OpenAI API to process searches and enrich lead data. These services receive the search terms you provide but not your personal account information.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (via Clerk) and to remember your theme preference. No third-party tracking cookies are used.
